Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit our website. We also use your browser's local storage and session storage, which work in a similar way but stay on your device. Together they help the site work and, where you allow it, help us understand how the site is used and measure our own adverts.
These are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off.
Cookie preferences: your consent choice is kept in your browser's local storage under the name cookie-consent, not as a cookie, so we don't ask you on every visit. It has no expiry: it stays until you change it or clear your browser data.
Sign-in session: when you sign in to the product, Supabase sets session cookies that keep you signed in and keep the site secure. They are only set if and when you sign in.
Watch builder session (crx_onb): if you use the watch builder without signing in, a cookie holding an anonymous id lets it remember your draft. It contains no personal information and lasts 30 days.
Sidebar state (sidebar_state): remembers whether you left the product sidebar open or closed. It lasts 7 days.
These load only if you accept analytics in our cookie banner, and help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can change your choice at any time (see Your choices).
PostHog Analytics: privacy-friendly product analytics (EU-hosted), usage patterns and performance. Loaded only after you accept analytics cookies. PostHog uses cookies and local storage whose names begin ph_ and phc_, kept for about 12 months (a period set by PostHog).
Off unless you switch them on. We run no advertising networks. If you accept marketing cookies, a Google Ads tag loads and records two events, creating an account and starting a trial, so we can measure our own adverts. It does not build a profile of you. Google's tag sets its own cookies (names beginning _gcl and similar) with lifetimes set by Google. A small entry in your browser's local storage (names beginning complyrx-ads-fired) stops the same event being counted twice.
A few entries in local or session storage remember interface preferences and drafts: banners and how-to panels you have dismissed, the view you chose on the drugs page, the sign-in code while you sign in, and the watch builder's draft conversation. They are not used for tracking. Session storage clears when you close the tab, and all of it clears with your browser data.

Manage your cookie preferences: you can accept or reject analytics and marketing cookies separately, and change your choice at any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page, which opens the preferences panel.
Browser controls: you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as expected.
